June 2004 IT expert escapes jail over porn An IT expert from St Leonards-On-Sea who was caught with thousands of indecent computer images of children has escaped a custodial sentence. Jonathon Tremlett, of Robsack Avenue, was arrested after police found just under 9,000 indecent images of children on his hard-drive and on two CD-Roms. The IT consultant admitted 23 charges related to internet child pornography. At Lewes Crown Court, the 38-year-old was sentenced to a three year community rehabilitation order. Judge Charles Kemp also ordered Tremlett to attend a sex offenders’ programme and to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for the next five years. His computer and CD-Roms will also be destroyed.
