In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Jonathan Pearson, a man originally from North Tyneside who now resides in Blyth, Northumberland, has been sentenced to prison for a brutal assault on an eight-month-old infant. The incident, which took place in Northumberland, was brought to light after authorities uncovered distressing videos on Pearson's mobile device.

These videos depicted Pearson engaging in highly abusive behavior towards the young child. In one of the recordings, he was seen forcefully sticking his fingers down the baby's throat, an act that could have caused serious injury or distress.
