JOHN NOBLE SHAMES PLYMOUTH GIRLS IN DISTINGUISHED NAVY CAREER SCANDAL

In a disturbing series of incidents that have shocked the community of Plymouth, John Noble, a man with a notable career in the Royal Navy, has been found guilty of repeatedly exposing himself to young girls over a span of 18 months. The court proceedings revealed a troubling pattern of behavior that has left residents and authorities alike questioning the circumstances surrounding his actions.

John Noble, aged 38, who was formerly residing at Rheola Gardens in Estover and is now living in Copperfields, Horrabridge, faced serious charges after a series of incidents involving underage girls. The court heard that Noble admitted to two counts of indecent exposure, with additional charges for four similar offences being considered as part of the case. The allegations detailed a pattern of inappropriate behavior directed at young girls in different parts of Plymouth, raising concerns about his motives and mental state.

The Crown Prosecution Service, represented by Angela Furniss, provided detailed accounts of the incidents. She explained that on March 31, Noble approached a 12-year-old girl as she was walking home from school through an alleyway near Keswick Crescent around 3 pm. According to the testimony, Noble exposed himself to the girl, who was understandably terrified and ran away, screaming and crying. This incident was one of several that highlighted a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior.

Further incidents occurred on October 11, when Noble exposed himself to three girls aged 11, 12, and 13. These girls were playing together near a park in Thurlestone Walk when the incident took place just before 6 pm. The girls managed to alert an adult, who then obtained Noble’s vehicle registration details as he drove away from the scene. The police investigation revealed that these offences were part of a series of similar acts committed over the course of nearly a year and a half, with authorities describing the offences as 'strikingly similar' in nature.

During the court proceedings, Noble’s defense attorney, Adrian Hill, emphasized his client’s previously good character and his current supportive family situation. Hill stated, “He is a married man. His wife is here today and is supportive of him.” He also acknowledged that Noble was going through a difficult period in his life, which he claimed might have contributed to his actions. Hill expressed concern that Noble’s naval career, which had been distinguished, could be jeopardized by these allegations.

In response to the evidence presented, the court ordered John Noble to sign the Sex Offender Register, a measure aimed at monitoring his activities and preventing further harm. The case has sent shockwaves through the community of Plymouth, raising questions about how such behavior could occur despite Noble’s reputable career and standing in the community. The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of the offences and the need for ongoing vigilance to protect vulnerable members of society from predatory individuals like Noble.
