July 2017 Staplehurst paedophile with nearly 400 indecent images of children is jailed A pervert from Staplehurst has been jailed and given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order after police raided his computers and found nearly 400 indecent images of children. John Howard P Lloyd, of Vine House, High Street, appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Courts yesterday (July 4) charged with a string of offences. Lloyd was arrested on April 30, 2016 following the discovery of a number of indecent images which had been found after his computers were seized in the previous November. He faced six charges relating to a total of 398 photos/ pseudo-photographs of children at Category C (the least serious). The court heard how Lloyd had previously been given a suspended sentence in 2007 and forced to sign the sex offenders register for making indent images of children. Following the offences committed in 2007, the 71-year-old underwent treatment until 2009. Chairman of the bench, David Smith, told Lloyd: “You are going to prison for 120 days on each of these matters to be served concurrently. “Once released from prison you will be subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and be forced to sign the sex offenders register for seven years. “You will pay a £115 surcharge within three months of your release from prison.”
