HORDEN MAN JOHN HUDSON SENT SEXUAL VIDEOS TO TEENAGE GIRL IN SHOCKING CASE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Horden, John Hudson, a 64-year-old resident, has been sentenced to prison after engaging in a series of inappropriate and illegal communications with what he believed was a teenage girl. The incident unfolded in September 2023, when Hudson initiated contact through an anonymous online messaging platform, targeting a girl he thought was just 13 years old.

Hudson's actions did not stop at mere messaging. He also utilized the popular social media application WhatsApp to send explicit photographs and videos of himself performing sexual acts. In these exchanges, he not only shared these graphic images but also encouraged the young girl to imitate his behavior, further demonstrating his predatory intent.

The case took a serious turn when Hudson was caught attempting to arrange a physical meeting with the girl. Unbeknownst to him, the individual he was communicating with was actually an undercover decoy from an online paedophile hunting group. This group’s operation led to his swift arrest by local law enforcement authorities in June of the same year.

Following his arrest, Hudson was formally charged with attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and for attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor. During his court appearance at Durham Crown Court, he admitted to both charges, acknowledging the severity of his actions.

The court subsequently sentenced Hudson to 32 months in prison, reflecting the gravity of his offenses. In addition to his incarceration, he was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which imposes strict restrictions to prevent future offenses. Furthermore, Hudson was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and public safety measures.
