JOHN HEALEY FROM DUNFERMLINE INVOLVED IN DOMESTIC ABUSE CASE AT DUNFERMLINE SHERIFF COURT

John Healey, a 52-year-old resident of Dunfermline, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face serious allegations of abusive conduct directed towards his former partner. The incident in question took place over a span of several days, specifically from March 11 to March 15, during which Healey engaged in a pattern of harassment and intimidation.

According to court records, Healey repeatedly made contact with his ex-partner through phone calls, leaving multiple voicemail messages that contained offensive language, swearing, and threatening remarks. These messages included explicit threats to damage her property and inflict violence upon her, escalating the severity of his actions. It was emphasized that these threatening behaviors occurred while Healey was on licence from prison, adding a layer of concern regarding his compliance with legal restrictions.

During the court proceedings, defense solicitor Alexander Flett provided context for Healey’s actions, stating that his previous relationship with the victim was not recent. Flett also suggested that Healey was blaming the victim for missing money during his time in incarceration, implying a possible motive or source of tension. The court was informed that Healey was on licence at the time of the offences, which heightened the seriousness of the case.

Sheriff Krista Johnston ordered that reports be prepared before the sentencing, which is scheduled to take place on July 16. The case highlights ongoing concerns about domestic abuse and the risks posed by individuals on licence, especially when they continue to engage in threatening and abusive behavior towards former partners.
