NORTHAMPTON MAN GUILTY OF CHILD SEX OFFENCES

Jason Yongblah, a man previously residing in Weedon Close, Northampton, has been found guilty of multiple child sex offences, including rape. The crimes began when he started abusing a girl at the age of 12. The offenses escalated from inappropriate touching to repeated sexual assaults and rape. Yongblah also sent the girl numerous inappropriate text messages. The case came to light after a relative saw some of these messages by chance, leading to police contact. Yongblah was subsequently arrested and charged with a series of serious offences, including rape of a child under 13, attempted rape, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, sexually assaulting a child under 13, sexual penetration of a child under 13, taking indecent photographs of a child, sexual communication with a child, and making indecent images of a child. He pleaded guilty to some charges but not all, with a trial set for October. During the trial, Yongblah denied some of the evidence, resulting in him being subjected to forensic comparison. On October 7th, a jury unanimously convicted him of all charges. He is scheduled for sentencing on November 29th.
