Febuary 2006 Parents’ perv Sir outrage PARENTS were furious last night after discovering a primary school teacher was forced to quit for having sickening child porn images. James Neve, 48, of Kent was arrested in August 2004 after downloading photos on his computer. He had no choice but to tender his resignation. Two months later he received an official police caution. But parents of kids at the school, in Canvey Island, Essex, have only just learnt why he quit . . . 18 months later. A statement issued on behalf of education bosses said Neve had resigned following a “low-level offence”. But one angry parent said: “It is disgraceful that we weren’t told about the reasons. “The school has clearly only come clean because of recent publicity surrounding other teachers. But we have a right as parents to know what is going on.” A spokesman for Essex County Council said: “Appropriate and effective action was taken.”
