JAMES FORSYTH SENTENCED IN GALASHIELS FOR HISTORICAL SEX OFFENCES INVOLVING YOUNG GIRLS

A 74-year-old man named James Forsyth has been sentenced to more than two years in prison after admitting to committing serious sexual offences against four young girls in the town of Galashiels. Forsyth pleaded guilty to four separate counts of lewd, indecent, and libidinous acts committed against the young victims during the 1970s and 1980s. The earliest of these offences took place at a house on Marmion Road, where Forsyth engaged in inappropriate conduct on numerous occasions between June 1973 and June 1975.
