COLCHESTER MAN IN COURT OVER INDECENT IMAGES OFFENCES
A man facing allegations of downloading and sharing hundreds of images depicting child abuse is scheduled to appear before a Crown Court judge next month.Jake Quinney, aged 29, was taken into custody in December after authorities uncovered evidence of his online access to indecent images.
He has been charged with three counts of creating indecent images of children, three counts of distributing such images, and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic picture.
During his court appearance, Quinney was dressed in his Tesco uniform and did not enter a plea.
His legal team indicated that he plans to admit the charges when he appears at Ipswich Crown Court next month.
The case has been transferred there, with a plea and trial hearing set for August 17.
Quinney was released on bail under conditions that prohibit him from having unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 and from residing or sleeping at addresses where minors are present.
