TEENAGER KNOWN AS 'PAEDO JACK' FROM BRIDLINGTON TO BE SENTENCED IN HULL COURT

A 19-year-old male, known by the nickname 'paedo Jack,' has admitted to a series of alarming sexual offenses involving teenage girls and is facing a prison sentence.

Jack Walker, of Fort Terrace, Bridlington, appeared via a video link from Hull Prison, where he has been remanded since August, ahead of his sentencing scheduled for Friday.

During the court proceedings, Walker, who frequently shook his head, pleaded guilty to all seven charges, which included four counts of sexual activity with a child, one of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and two of engaging in sexual activity in front of a child.

The charges were connected to a 14-year-old girl, with the court hearing that Walker once asked her to move with him to Bradford.

Prosecutor Charlotte Baines told the court that Walker had been warned by both his mother and Humberside Police to stay away from the girl.

Walker was subject to child abduction warning notices designed to prevent contact between vulnerable children and adults where there are concerns of potential harm or exploitation.

Miss Baines explained that the girl had described involvement with a group of males for sexual contact, stating she felt sick and disgusted but considered it normal, citing feelings of pressure.

The girl also revealed to officers that she had often used drugs while around Walker.

The prosecution revealed that after smoking together one night, Walker sat her on his knee and touched her without asking for permission.

She recounted that he tried persuading her to go upstairs with him, saying, 'come on, you know you want to do it.' The girl also told police she had sent messages revealing her age, and Walker responded with indecent images and requests for her to do the same.

He messaged her about taking her virginity and trying to convince her to have sex with him on multiple occasions.

The court heard about an incident where Walker and the girl were locked in a beach hut, during which Walker complimented her body and told her not to tell anyone what he said, warning her, 'You don't want to get into trouble, do you?' A friend of the girl stated that Walker was well known locally as 'paedo Jack.' Additional charges pertain to another 14-year-old girl, with Miss Baines stating she often saw many 14 and 15-year-olds around Walker’s flat.

The girl testified she could hear Walker and his girlfriend having sex, which made her uncomfortable, leading her to increase the volume of her music.

She was also asked to join them on occasion and understood the implied intentions.

She watched Walker, knowing he had ADHD, bipolar disorder, and anger issues.

The court heard that Walker engaged in sexual acts with the young girl approximately ten times, including in a disused building observed by a teenage boy who felt coerced to watch.

This witness described Walker’s comment, 'I'm s******* this one now,' and witnessed Walker instructing the girl to sit on a log and watch them have sex, fearing violence because Walker carried a screwdriver.

The girl questioned whether he had to watch, to which Walker responded, 'Let him stay.' The boy felt scared and considered this a betrayal after speaking to police.

Walker’s police interviews revealed he initially claimed no messages existed with the first girl and later, in August last year, admitted he did not understand what consent meant, though he eventually pleaded guilty to all charges.

Defense attorney Paul Genney, noting Walker’s learning disability and low IQ, explained that a pre-sentence and psychological report had been prepared.

Mr.

Genney described Walker's troubled childhood in a violent home environment, describing him as 'damaged' and possibly beyond redemption.

He noted that Walker has shown remorse, crying while in prison and missing his 'mummy and his Lego.' The defense argued that Walker was not manipulative or sophisticated but in need of help, emphasizing his immature state, akin to that of a 14-year-old, with little empathy.

Mr.

Genney highlighted Walker’s vulnerability and the trauma of his detention so far, hopeful that some form of intervention or therapy might help him develop empathy and sensitivity.

Judge John Thackray is scheduled to sentence Walker on Friday, April 3.
