JACK RENSHAW FROM SKELMERSDALE INVOLVED IN CHILD SEX OFFENSES AND RACIAL HATRED CASES IN LANCASHIRE

In a series of disturbing legal proceedings, Jack Renshaw, a resident of Skelmersdale, Lancashire, has been found guilty of multiple serious crimes involving child exploitation and hate speech. The revelations come after a lengthy investigation and court trials that have shed light on his disturbing activities.

It was in April 2019 that Renshaw, now 23 years old, was convicted of grooming two underage boys through online platforms. He had set up two fake Facebook profiles and engaged with the teenagers, aged 13 and 14, between February 2016 and January 2017. Using Facebook Messenger, Renshaw boasted about his wealth, claimed he could offer them employment opportunities, and even offered one of the boys £300 to spend the night with him. He also requested explicit photographs from the minors, which led to the boys reporting the messages to their tutor, prompting police intervention.

Following the reports, law enforcement officers seized two BlackBerry phones from Renshaw’s family home in Blackpool, Lancashire. Although much of the internet history had been deleted, investigators employed specialized software to recover relevant data. Further examination of two additional phones belonging to Renshaw revealed searches related to homosexual pornography. During police interviews, Renshaw claimed he was heterosexual, a virgin, and did not believe in sex outside marriage. He also described homosexuality as ‘unnatural’ and accused the police of planting material on his devices, asserting that he believed Hope Not Hate, an anti-fascist group, had hacked his phones through some form of synchronized access.

Renshaw’s claims of being a victim of hacking were challenged in court. Prosecutor Louise Brandon dismissed his assertions, highlighting that his suggestion of remote access was reminiscent of spy novels. She pointed out that if those whose opinions mattered to him knew he was interested in men and boys, they would likely ostracize him. Renshaw, however, insisted that the nationalist movement included gays and that he was not gay himself.

He was convicted of four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and was sentenced to three years in prison. Additionally, he was placed on the Sex Offender Register for ten years. His prison sentence was set to commence after he completed a separate 16-month term for inciting racial hatred, which was handed down in June of the same year.

Renshaw’s racial hatred convictions stemmed from speeches made during far-right events, including a demonstration on Blackpool Promenade in March 2016 and a gathering of the Yorkshire Forum For Nationalists the month prior. During these events, he made inflammatory remarks about Jewish people, describing them as parasites and calling for their eradication. His speeches at these gatherings, attended by delegates from various far-right organizations, revealed his resolute stance on racial hatred and violence.

At the sentencing hearing, Judge Robert Altham questioned whether Renshaw still held the same views, to which Renshaw nodded in the dock. The judge noted that Renshaw remained committed to his original beliefs, advocating for street armies, violence against Jewish communities, and ultimately, genocide. Renshaw’s actions and words have drawn widespread condemnation, highlighting the dangers posed by extremist ideologies and online grooming of minors.
