JACK JONES FROM WREXHAM AND LIVERPOOL JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON SCHOOLGIRL IN WREXHAM
In September 2018, a disturbing case unfolded involving Jack Alan Jones, a man originally from Wrexham who was residing in Liverpool at the time.Jones, aged 23, was employed as a police community support officer and had aspirations of becoming a full-time police officer.
However, his ambitions were overshadowed by serious criminal conduct that led to his conviction and subsequent imprisonment.
Jones faced charges related to a sexual assault on a schoolgirl, an incident that took place in Wrexham.
Despite denying three counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16 through sexual touching, a jury at Mold Crown Court found him guilty after a trial.
The court heard that Jones had deliberately targeted the girl, who was under 16, and had taken advantage of her vulnerability.
The court proceedings revealed that the incident occurred last year when Jones saw an opportunity for sexual gratification at the expense of the young girl.
The victim was described as being in bed and believed to be sleeping at the time.
Jones, who had visited her room, initially engaged in opportunistic behavior by touching her, which he repeated on each visit.
Over time, his actions escalated, and he went further by touching her private parts beneath her clothing.
Judge Nicolas Parry, presiding over the case, emphasized the severity of Jones's actions.
He stated that Jones’s behavior was opportunistic at first, but he became bolder, testing boundaries and ultimately crossing them.
The judge described the victim’s reaction as being
