November 2013 Pervert who abused three children moans that lack of toilet roll in jail is making him ‘aggressive and vindictive’ A SEX beast who abused three children has been whining about the lack of toilet roll in jail. Jack Beaton warned that having his requests for loo paper turned down was making him aggressive. He moaned: “I am a quiet-spoken person who already finds it difficult to open up and trust people and this constant rejection of requests has changed my character. “I am becoming aggressive and vindictive – two qualities that I dislike.” Beaton, 48, is serving six years for forcing a boy and two girls to perform sex acts on him. His written complaints about Glenochil prison, near Stirling, appeared in prisoners’ magazine Insidetime. Beaton wrote: “I have found it a worthless task asking the officers for anything. Even the simplest requests for toilet roll has led to aggressive refusals. “It is my first time in prison. I’m scared. It is a feeling like the first day of school.” The Scottish Prison Service said there was “adequate provision” of toilet paper in jails. In December, Beaton, of Inverness, was found guilty of commiting four sex charges between 2009 and 2011. The pervert, who is a member of a church fellowship in Inverness, denied the charges. January 2013 Inverness man who forced children to perform sex acts jailed A 48-year-old man convicted of forcing a boy and two girls under the age of 16 to perform sex acts on him has been jailed for six years. A jury at the High Court in Inverness found Jack Beaton, of Inverness, guilty of four charges of lewd and libidinous practices with the children last month. The offences happened between 6 January 2009 and 5 January 2011. Sentencing Beaton, judge Lord Bannatyne told him that he was guilty of a “dreadful breach of trust”. Beaton, who is a member of a church fellowship in the city and had denied the charges, was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow. Lord Bannatyne told him: “You have been convicted of a number of serious offences which when taken together amount to an appalling course of conduct. “This was a dreadful breach of trust and you have taken utterly no responsibility for your offending. “A substantial custodial sentence is appropriate.” Beaton will also be supervised for a further two years on his release. He was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely. December 2012 Inverness man forced children to perform sex acts AN Inverness man has been found guilty of committing sexual offences against a boy and two girls over a two-year period. Jack Beaton (48) of Harrowden Road, Inverness had denied seven allegations of sexually assault, including two of rape. After a week long trial at Inverness Sheriff Court, the jury unanimously found him guilty of two charges of lewd, indecent and libidinous conduct towards the boy and two more charges of lewd, indecent and libidinous conduct towards each of the girls. The offences were committed between January 6, 2009 and January 5, 2011. The remaining three charges were dropped by the Crown during the course of the trial. Lord Bannatyne deferred sentence for background reports on Beaton, a first offender, who will now go on the Sex Offenders Register. John Keenan, solicitor advocate, defending, made a plea for bail to be continued but Lord Bannatyne said given the serious nature of the offences bail would not be appropriate. Mr Keenan reserved his plea in mitigation until the background reports are available. Beaton will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on January 8.
