MIDDLESBROUGH RAPIST JAILED FOR NINE YEARS
In Middlesbrough, a woman was targeted and assaulted by a stranger, identified as Ismael Bahr Ishaq, as she was heading home from an evening out. The attacker took advantage of her vulnerable state and assaulted her inside a private residence. Ishaq, based on Harewood Street, received a nine-year prison term after being found guilty of raping the woman. Cleveland Police described the attack as an instance of exploiting a woman’s vulnerability, praising her for demonstrating bravery during the case. Detective Inspector Matt Hollingsworth noted that such occurrences are very rare but can be difficult to investigate. The force hopes that the nine-year jail sentence will bring some relief to the victim. Police officials acknowledged her courage and expressed their wishes for her well-being after the sentencing was announced.
