IMRAN RAFIQ FROM WALSALL SENTENCED FOR THREATS AND ATTACKS ON EX-PARTNER

A violent offender, 42-year-old Imran Rafiq of Walsall, has been sentenced following repeated assaults and threats against his former partner. Rafiq was convicted of using social media platforms, including TikTok and Facebook Messenger, to record and disseminate disturbing videos in which he threatened to end her life, kidnap her child, and demolish her Walsall home.

Despite facing multiple arrests due to his aggressive and intimidating conduct, Rafiq was often released from custody only to resume his threats shortly afterwards. His assault on his ex-partner included kicking her while she was breastfeeding. She used recordings of Rafiq’s voice messages and videos as evidence when reporting him to the police.

His malicious actions extended to creating videos on TikTok, in which he vowed to kill her and cause explosions. His abusive behavior was not limited to Walsall; he continued his campaign of harassment even after starting a new relationship with another woman.

The victim was ultimately able to provide authorities with crucial evidence, such as recordings of his voice notes and videos, which contributed significantly to his conviction. As a result, Rafiq was sentenced to imprisonment. The court’s verdict reflects the serious nature of his threats and violence, emphasizing the gravity of his actions.
