Sean Jefferson, 35, was found guilty this week of the murder of his daughter, Darcy, who suffered fractures to both legs, a catastrophic brain injury, and 47 rib fractures after she was subjected to multiple assaults prior to her death on March 29, 2022.

He was convicted of murder and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent at Stafford Crown Court on Monday.

Body-cam footage has been released showing Jefferson and Darcy's mother, Amy Leigh Clark, being arrested.

Jefferson was heard berating police, complaining about the handcuffs being too tight, and threatening to report two officers.

Jefferson could be seen berating police in the bodycam footage, exclaiming: "Oh my f*****g god." Clark, of Lichfield, Staffordshire, was convicted of causing or allowing the death of a child and two counts of causing or allowing serious harm to a child after an eight-week trial.

Darcy died in hospital two days later on March 29, 2022, and her parents faced charges in May last year.

An investigation revealed Darcy was repeatedly physically abused during her brief five-week life.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Fitzgerald of Staffordshire Police stated Darcy deserved parents who loved and cared for her.

Jefferson and Clark are scheduled to be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court at an upcoming date.
