Ibrahim Stout, aged 23 and from Belgrave Walk, was found responsible for coercing a woman into sending sexually explicit images and videos over a span of four months in 2023.
Investigation records revealed thousands of messages that highlighted Stout’s abusive and controlling conduct, including threats to reveal the explicit material to the woman’s family.
Further probing on social media platform X uncovered that the same individual had shared some of the videos with other men.
Stout admitted guilt to one count of disclosing or threatening to disclose private sexual photographs and videos with the intent to cause distress, as well as to another charge of stalking the same woman.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing an extreme pornographic image on his mobile phone, which was unrelated to the other charges.
Additionally, Stout confessed to a racially aggravated assault causing actual bodily harm during an incident at Speaker’s Corner within Hyde Park on December 31, 2023, where he punched a man in the face.
On March 21, he received a sentence of two years in prison, suspended for 20 months.
He is required to undertake 250 hours of unpaid work and 25 days of rehabilitation activities, including a three-month curfew with electronic monitoring.
A five-year restraining order has been issued against him, prohibiting any form of contact with the victim and restricting him from approaching within 100 metres of her residence.
