Update: Nock was released August 2016 and is on licence until November 2017 August 2012 Kingswinford man caged after sickening sex attacks A 60-year-old Kingswinford man has been jailed for seven years for a string of sickening sex attacks on a young female going back nearly 30 years. Judge Amjad Nawaz at Wolverhampton Crown Court told Ian Nock: “This was a serious catalogue of offending – it was persistent and it was repeated.” He said Nock had only decided to admit his guilt on the day he was due to face trial – something that had put his victim in “fear” because she felt she would have to relive her ordeal before a jury. “You may get over this sentence but sadly your victim will not get over what you have done,” he told Nock. The court was told that Nock groomed the child when she was aged between 7-11 years old. Then sexually, mentally and emotionally abused her from the age of 12. The abuse continued for many years after Nock of Leaford Way, admitted nine charges of indecent assault committed between September 1982 and September 1997. The Judge told him only a substantial jail term was appropriate for his crimes and he further ordered Nock to register as a Sex Offender for the rest of his life. Glyn Samuel, prosecuting, described the offences as “systematic sexual abuse” and said they only came to light when the victim was able to confide in a counsellor. He said that in a victim impact statement the woman said she continued to suffer from nightmares, stress, anxiety and depression.
