HENRY BANGS FROM BLACKPOOL SENTENCED FOR LIFE AFTER MURDER OF 12-YEAR-OLD SON

In a tragic case that has shocked the community of Blackpool, Henry Bangs, aged 49, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after admitting to the murder of his 12-year-old son, Anthony Bangs. The incident occurred at their family home in Blackpool, a seaside town known for its lively attractions and bustling streets.

Initially, Henry Bangs denied any involvement in his son's death, claiming he had not strangled Anthony. However, during a court hearing at Preston Crown Court, he changed his plea to guilty, admitting to the brutal killing. Prior to this, he had attempted to shift blame onto another of his sons, a 13-year-old, suggesting that the other boy was responsible for the murder. This claim was ultimately dismissed as the court proceedings revealed the true nature of the crime.

The judge presiding over the case, Peter Openshaw, delivered a stern sentence, emphasizing the severity and brutality of the act. He stated that Henry Bangs had killed his son with significant force and cruelty, driven by the fact that Anthony had chosen to live with his mother following the separation of his parents. The judge highlighted the emotional and physical violence involved, condemning the act as a heinous crime.

Following the conviction, the remaining members of the Bangs family have decided to change their identities and start anew, seeking to escape the pain and notoriety associated with the tragedy. They are now attempting to rebuild their lives away from Blackpool, in an effort to find peace after the devastating loss of Anthony.
