MAN JAILED FOR SEX OFFENCES IN WHITSTABLE AND BEYOND
Graham Kemp, a man aged 71 from Whitstable, was sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexual offenses committed against two minors during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.Kemp was detained in March 2016, following allegations made by his victims, which led to police involvement in the previous year.
He was found guilty of indecently assaulting a young girl between 2002 and 2004.
Before his trial, Kemp pleaded guilty to one count each of indecent assault and indecency with a child, relating to a different minor victim in the late 1990s.
The court at Canterbury Crown Court sentenced him on June 11 to five years and three months in prison.
He was also ordered to comply with an indefinite sexual harm prevention order that restricts his interactions with children and his ability to use computers.
