BRAVE SURVIVOR'S LETTER HELPS SNARE FIFE SEX OFFENDER
Graham Keith has been placed on the sex offenders register following police discovery of a letter from his young victim, which was submitted by her abuser. The girl, still a teenager at the time, wrote an emotional note to Keith and his wife, describing how his actions affected her and expressing her feelings about what had transpired.
Keith presented this letter to the police himself, claiming that he was “shocked” upon learning of the allegations.
Last week, the 69-year-old appeared in Kirkcaldy court to face charges of lewd, indecent, and libidinous practices, as well as sexual assault of a child.
Jurors were not made aware that two years earlier, Keith had pleaded guilty to possessing the most severe category of child abuse images.
In addition to the child abuse charges, he admitted to sexually assaulting a woman and was convicted of assaulting a second child when he was in his twenties, who was still in school.
Sheriff James Williamson ordered Keith to be added once more to the sex offenders register.
He remains on bail, pending a sentencing hearing scheduled for July.
