KILWINNING MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER THREATENING EX-WIFE WITH TEA
A man named Gordon Skilling, aged 61, faced court in Kilmarnock after admitting to threatening his ex-wife by shouting, swearing, and making threats towards her.Court documents detail that Skilling would have caused her fear or alarm by saying he would throw a boiling cup of tea over her during an incident at their former home in Kilwinning on September 3.
The complainant, his ex-wife, recorded audio of Skilling admitting to the threat and also heard him repeatedly saying, "I don't give a f***" and "don’t you f***ing mention my mother f***ing shut up".
Skilling was traced at his residence later that evening, arrested, and taken for police interviews.
He acknowledged shouting and swearing during the incident.
Since then, he has been granted bail with the condition not to approach the complainant or enter that street.
Court proceedings concluded with the sheriff deferring the sentence for six months on the condition of good behaviour, and Skilling will return to court in three months to review his progress.
