WEEPING PAEDOPHILE CAGED FOR TWO DECADES FOR ABUSE OF LITTLE GIRLS IN 'MOST APPALLING WAY'
A convicted rapist deemed 'dangerous' for causing severe emotional harm to his young victims has received a 16-year prison sentence, along with an additional four-year period on license.
Geoffrey Watkin, aged 74, confessed to sexually abusing two young girls—one over thirty years ago and the other in recent years—in a deeply disturbing manner.
The court was informed that he repeatedly touched one girl and performed a sexual act on her, which caused her to become physically ill.
The second girl was forced to perform a sexual act on Watkin.
Judge James Brown described him as a 'dangerous offender' with an unhealthy obsession with young girls.
Watkin pleaded guilty to six counts of indecent assault and two counts of rape, resulting in the 16-year prison term and four-year license extension.
Additionally, a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order were imposed.
During sentencing, Watkin, from Marton Road, Middlesbrough, appeared emotional, and the judge highlighted the significant emotional toll his actions had on the victims.
