FREDDIE MILLAR BUSTED IN NORTHAMPTON FOR SEXUAL HARM ORDER VIOLATION
Freddie Millar, a 31-year-old man with a history of sexual offenses, has been re-incarcerated after violating the terms of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) issued against him.Millar, who also goes by the name Xenia Jade Millar, previously resided in Northampton and was convicted of raping a woman, which led to the court imposing the SHPO in 2017.
Following his release from prison in September of the previous year, Millar was subject to strict conditions designed to monitor and restrict his activities as a registered sex offender.
These conditions mandated that he must inform authorities of any new romantic relationships, any new social media accounts he created, and any devices capable of accessing the internet that he purchased or used.
The purpose of these rules was to prevent further offenses and to keep law enforcement informed of his activities.
Despite these restrictions, police officers from Northamptonshire Police’s MOSOVO Team conducted surprise visits to Millar’s residence.
On December 8, 2023, during one such visit, officers discovered a laptop at his address.
Accompanying the officers was a woman who claimed to be in a relationship with Millar.
Neither the laptop nor the relationship had been disclosed to the authorities beforehand, which constituted a breach of the SHPO conditions.
Further investigations led to another visit on January 22, 2024, when the MOSOVO Team uncovered a mobile phone with multiple social media accounts that Millar had failed to report.
Police also found conversations on the device indicating that Millar had established new friendships and relationships without informing the authorities, raising suspicions of ongoing contact with individuals he was supposed to avoid.
As a result of these violations, Millar was formally charged with one count of breaching the Sexual Harm Prevention Order and another count of breaching Notification Requirements.
He pleaded guilty to both charges during an earlier hearing at Northampton Crown Court in December 2023.
Subsequently, on February 5, 2024, Millar appeared before the same court and was sentenced to a prison term of one year and four months.
His re-sentencing underscores the importance of strict compliance with the conditions imposed on registered sex offenders and highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to monitor and prevent potential reoffending.
