ABERDEEN MAN FRANCIS MCPHEE ENGAGES IN RACIST AND VIOLENT OUTBURST DURING ARREST
In a disturbing series of events on Union Street in Aberdeen, a man identified as Francis McPhee exhibited aggressive and racist behavior during his arrest, prompting serious concern from law enforcement officials. The incident began when McPhee, reportedly intoxicated, called the police requesting assistance at a local McDonald's. However, upon their arrival, officers found him heavily under the influence and in clear violation of a court order that mandated he remain at home during nighttime hours. As police attempted to manage the situation, McPhee's behavior quickly escalated. He became visibly aggressive, shouting threatening language such as, ‘I’m going to f****** come for you,’ while physically assaulting officers by striking them with his fists. In an attempt to further intimidate the officers, he tried to headbutt one of them, and when restrained, he hit another officer and kicked out aggressively.
During his transport in a police van, McPhee continued his verbal assault, directing racist slurs at the officers, calling them ‘little prostitutes’ and ‘fat Oompa-Loompas.’ He also issued threats of violence, stating, ‘I’m going to kill you,’ and adding, ‘My family will f****** kill.’
Following his detention, McPhee was taken to a custody cell where his racist and abusive language persisted. He directed offensive comments at officers, telling them to ‘get back to your country,’ and expressed a dislike for Polish people, explicitly stating, ‘I don’t like Polish people near me.’ He also reiterated his support for former U.S. President Donald Trump’s idea of building a wall, revealing his racist sentiments.
McPhee ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting police officers and breaching a court order. The court responded with a sentence that included an 18-month community payback order with supervision, 200 hours of unpaid work, and the fitting of an electronic monitoring tag for six months. The sheriff overseeing the case described McPhee’s conduct as ‘utterly disgraceful,’ emphasizing that there is no justification for such behavior. The sheriff also noted that McPhee’s difficulties with controlling his emotions and alcohol consumption contributed to his actions, but these factors did not excuse his misconduct.
