In a recent court ruling, Euan McKean, a 28-year-old resident of Dumfries, has been sentenced to six months in prison after being found guilty of possessing highly disturbing and illegal material.

The charges stem from his possession of over 2,000 indecent images of children, along with graphic photographs depicting sexual acts involving humans and animals.

The investigation revealed that McKean had been downloading this illicit content at his residence in Dumfries over a period spanning from April 2013 to January 2015.

His actions have caused significant concern among authorities and the community, given the disturbing nature of the material involved.

During the court proceedings, Sheriff George Jamieson described the images as 'shocking' and emphasized the severity of the offense.
