A violent thug who subjected a woman to a sustained campaign of abuse, control and intimidation has finally been put behind bars.

Christopher McMenamin was jailed after a court heard how he monitored his victim’s every move, controlled her social media, and even demanded money from her — all while unleashing repeated physical attacks.

He struck fear into his victim with aggressive outbursts, leaving her terrified in her own life.

On multiple occasions, he lashed out physically, including shocking incidents where he assaulted her while she was driving — putting both her and others at serious risk.

McMenamin also targeted another woman, subjecting her to similar violence.

She was punched, kicked, and left injured as his pattern of control and brutality escalated.

The horror unfolded over months, with victims enduring both physical and mental torment.

His actions were described in court as deeply disturbing, with clear evidence of coercive and controlling behaviour.

A judge slammed the offender, making it clear his actions were deliberate, dangerous, and completely unacceptable.

Now, justice has caught up with him.

McMenamin has been jailed and handed strict conditions to prevent him from contacting his victims — a small relief after the ordeal they were forced to endure.
