DONNA GLENISTER FROM HIGH WYCOMBE CONVICTED FOR HORSE CRUELTY AND BREACHING HORSE KEEPING BAN IN BUCKS

Donna Glenister, also known as Donna Ward, born on December 6, 1972, and residing on Tapping Road in High Wycombe, has been found guilty of multiple offences related to horse cruelty and repeatedly violating court orders that prohibited her from keeping horses. Her criminal activities and breaches of court restrictions have drawn significant attention from local authorities and animal welfare organizations.

Glenister’s history with horse-related offences dates back to 2012 when she was first issued a ban from owning or keeping horses. Despite this, she continued to flout the restrictions imposed upon her. The situation escalated in June 2015 when she was summoned before magistrates after RSPCA investigators uncovered that she had purchased two horses and was keeping them in stables located in Henley-on-Thames. This act was a clear violation of her court-mandated disqualification, highlighting her persistent disregard for legal restrictions.

The breaches did not stop there. In January 2016, Glenister was ordered to pay nearly £2,000 after being caught for a second time breaking her disqualification order within less than a year. This offence was uncovered just a week after her previous court appearance, following a tip-off from a member of the public who reported suspicions that she had acquired yet another horse. The repeated violations underscored her ongoing defiance of the law and her disregard for animal welfare standards.

Her legal troubles culminated in July 2017 when she was caught breaching her ban for a third time. As a result, she was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, although the sentence was suspended for 12 months. Additionally, she was ordered to pay costs amounting to £750 and a victim surcharge of £115. The court also extended her disqualification order for an additional seven years, meaning she would be prohibited from keeping horses until 2024. These measures reflect the seriousness with which the judicial system viewed her repeated violations and the importance of enforcing animal protection laws in the region.

The case has been widely reported by the Bucks Free Press, emphasizing the ongoing issues surrounding animal cruelty and the importance of adhering to court-imposed restrictions to prevent suffering and neglect of animals in the community.
