LEEDS PREDATORS WHO GROOMED CHILDREN WITH LIFTS, BOOZE AND CASH UNMASKED
Two men who preyed on young girls by offering them lifts, alcohol, drugs and cash to abuse them have been jailed.
Delroy Scott, 59, of St Alban Crescent and Yusuf Egberongbe, 67, of Shakespeare Lawn, both in Leeds, were found guilty on August 11 of a long list of sexual offences following a trial at Leeds Crown Court.
Today they have been jailed for a total of 17 years.
Scott was found guilty of five counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15, attempting to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, inciting sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15 and sexual assault.
Egberongbe was found guilty of inciting sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15, engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15 and arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sexual offence.
He was found not guilty of another charge of inciting sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15.
Now, Scott has been jailed for 12 years and Egberongbe was jailed for five years.
Both have been made to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life, with Scott given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
