April 2017 Pervert convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl on a bus between Croydon and Lambeth A convicted sex offender will be sentenced next month after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl on a bus between Croydon and Lambeth. Dean Forte, of Knights Hill in Upper Norwood, denied the allegation but was convicted by a jury at the Inner London Crown Court, in Southwark, on Tuesday (April 11). The 36-year-old was arrested following a media appeal by the Metropolitan Police. The assault occurred on Monday, June 27 last year at about 4.25pm on a route 468 bus – which runs from the Swan and Sugarloaf in South Croydon up through Croydon and towards Lambeth. The offence happened while the bus was travelling through West Norwood. The 13-year-old victim was sat upstairs on the bus – towards the back – when Forte came and sat next to her. He then sexually assaulted her. Forte will be sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on Friday, May 12. In 2014, he was jailed after within the space of an hour, he managed to sexually assault five young victims on a bus. He committed a further three assaults on buses operating in the borough.  He sat down next to the girls, with his youngest victim being just 12 years old, so that he could molest their legs and buttocks.  August 2014 Sexual predator jailed after targeting young schoolgirls on buses A ‘predatory’ sex offender, who targeted girls as young as twelve as he travelled around on buses in Waltham Forest, has been jailed.  Dean Forte, 33, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years in prison and banned from getting on a bus within the M25 following his conviction of eight sexual assaults at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday.  He is also barred from having contact with anyone under 16, and has also been placed on the sex offenders register for ten years after sexually assaulting the girls on buses over three days in December.  Within the space of an hour, he managed to sexually assault five victims in Wandsworth on December 11 and then on December 14, he committed a further three assaults on buses operating in the borough.  He sat down next to the girls, with his youngest victim being just 12 years old, so that he could touch their legs and buttocks.  Two separate police stations launched investigations to track him down before he was eventually caught in Chingford on December 14 following a report of a sexual assault on a bus.  He was charged and remanded the same day to appear two days later at Thames Magistrates Court.
