MAN WHO FILMED HIMSELF RAPING YOUNG GIRLS AND SHARED VIDEOS GETS 18 YEARS
Dean Edmunds, aged 36, received an 18-year prison sentence after being convicted of filming himself committing sexual assaults on young girls as young as three and sharing the footage with his wife.His offending began in his early twenties and involved four victims all under 13 years old.
He also recorded his wife, Leanne Edmunds, 32, engaging in sex with a dog.
Text messages revealed that the couple referred to themselves as "perverts together forever" in relation to their crimes.
Most of the offences centred around one girl, aged between three and seven during the incidents.
A disturbing disclosure was that Mrs.
Edmunds responded with "Lol you naughty boy" after seeing a video of her husband raping a young girl.
The victim’s father described his horror upon learning of the abuse, recalling that he "screamed in horror" and felt guilty for not intervening.
Authorities discovered approximately 6,700 indecent images on Edmunds’ devices, including 1,158 of the most severe category, along with numerous covert photos of females taken in public spaces and changing rooms.
Edmunds admitted to 28 charges, encompassing sexual assault and rape of a girl under 13, bestiality, and perverting the course of justice.
The judge labelled him as "a grave risk of serious sexual harm to children." His wife, who had spent eight months in custody on remand, was given a three-year community order after pleading guilty to charges involving possession of extreme pornography and illegal images of children.
The judge also recognized her mental health issues.
Investigators stated that, despite their outwardly normal appearance, the couple’s crimes were among the worst seen in recent times, with Edmunds openly sharing and discussing his abuse with pride and without remorse.
