A glamour model agent named Dean Coles was accused of sexually abusing 25 women. He faced multiple charges including 16 counts of rape, 2 of attempted rape, 12 of indecent assault, 5 of attempting to procure women for sex by deception, and 1 of attempting to recruit a woman as a prostitute.
Additionally, he was charged with three counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The allegations stemmed from women who responded to advertisements from the Cotswold Model and Promotions Agency, which Coles operated from his residence for five years.
It is alleged that the victims underwent sexual acts at Coles' home photographic studio during glamour photoshoots.
Coles, who was 38 years old and from Rodborough, Stroud, appeared in court only to confirm his identity and age.
He listened as prosecutors outlined the case against him, with more charges possibly adding up to 39.
The police had interviewed him over the weekend, and the case was considered a major incident following victim complaints.
His defense did not request bail, and Coles was remanded in custody for a week.
