AYR MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING EX-PARTNER AND CAUSING INJURY AT SHERIFF COURT
A man named David Strachan, who was listed as being at HMP Kilmarnock, is accused of injuring his ex-partner by assaulting her.According to court reports, he allegedly repeatedly punched her on the head, then pursued her.
He is further accused of grabbing her by the hair and repeatedly striking her head against a concrete stair.
The allegations include seizing her by the hair and hitting her head against a window before kicking her in the back, causing injury.
The court documents state that these acts were aggravated by alleged abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
During a brief hearing at Ayr Sheriff Court, David Strachan pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was remanded back into custody and is set to face the allegations again at a later date.
