DARLINGTON PAEDOPHILE DAVID STANWICK SENTENCED TO OVER FIVE YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Darlington, an elderly man named David Stanwick has been sentenced to more than five years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious sex offences involving a minor.

Stanwick, aged 73, was accused of committing a series of heinous acts against a young boy, which included three counts of causing or inciting the child to engage in penetrative sexual activity.

Additionally, he faced a charge of sexual activity with a boy under the age of 16.

The allegations did not stop there; he was also accused of engaging in sexual acts in the presence of a child under 16 on two separate occasions.

Despite maintaining his innocence and pleading not guilty to all six charges, the case went to trial at Teesside Crown Court.

The jury deliberated and found Stanwick guilty on March 29, a verdict that has brought some measure of justice for the victim and the community.
