DARLINGTON THUG FRACTURED HIS PREGNANT PARTNER'S JAW
A violent offender who fractured his pregnant partner’s jaw after punching her in the face will have to wait to find out his sentence.Aaron Stephenson reacted aggressively when his partner slapped him during an argument at his Darlington residence while he was intoxicated with alcohol and drugs.
The court was also told that he had previously assaulted her three months earlier by pulling her back into the house by her hair.
The woman, who was approximately 10 to 12 weeks pregnant, was taken to hospital with a broken jaw following the February 10 attack.
Stephenson admitted to causing grievous bodily harm and assault causing actual bodily harm.
The sentencing has been postponed until July 28 to allow for additional medical reports and a victim impact statement.
