DAVID HILL FROM ORPINGTON JAILED FOR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF SCHOOLGIRLS IN LONDON AND BROMLEY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Orpington and the surrounding areas, David Hill, a 25-year-old man from the town, has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in a series of predatory and threatening behaviors directed at young girls. The offences, which came to light in 2015, involved Hill using social media platforms to send highly explicit messages to minors, as well as engaging in intimidation tactics to silence his victims.

On October 1 of the previous year, authorities were alerted to Hill’s activities after reports emerged that he, operating under the alias Kemz, was sending messages of an extremely sexually graphic nature to girls aged 14 and 15. These messages were sent via Facebook, where Hill used the pseudonym Realke Mzme to contact the victims. The disturbing communications prompted immediate concern among parents and law enforcement officials alike.

Hill’s contact with his first victim, a 15-year-old girl, culminated in a face-to-face meeting on a train in Orpington. Following this encounter, Hill arranged to meet her again at Bickley train station. The girl, accompanied by her 14-year-old friend, went to meet Hill but quickly became uncomfortable with his behavior and decided to leave, returning home in distress. Despite the girls’ withdrawal, Hill continued to harass the 15-year-old through a barrage of text messages, explicitly expressing his desire to engage in sexual activity with her. When she refused to respond, Hill’s attitude turned hostile and aggressive.

His attention then shifted to the 14-year-old girl, whom he also contacted with sexually explicit messages. As his communications were repeatedly ignored, Hill resorted to threats of violence and intimidation directed at both girls, attempting to coerce them into responding or complying with his demands. The situation escalated further when Hill was arrested on October 10 at Bromley police station, after he answered bail related to an earlier assault and affray incident in Canterbury. During police interviews, Hill denied the allegations, claiming that a friend had accessed his Facebook account and sent the messages without his knowledge.

Further investigations uncovered that Hill had also sent sexually graphic messages to another 14-year-old girl. When he learned that the case was being pursued by authorities, Hill threatened the victim and her family in an effort to dissuade them from cooperating with the police. This led to an additional charge of witness intimidation being added to his case.

Detective Constable James Coldham of Bromley CID commented on the case, stating, “Hill targeted the young girls in this case by sending them vile and sexually explicit messages and then resorted to threats of violence when he was rebuffed. We would urge parents and guardians to teach your child to be very careful to befriend and communicate with only trusted people that they know. Above all, assure them that it’s OK to come to you, or another trusted adult, if they feel threatened by or uncomfortable about something they have seen or done on a social networking site.”

Hill was ultimately sentenced at Croydon Crown Court to a total of 19 months in prison. His sentences included 10 months for witness intimidation, five months each for two counts of incitement to engage a child in sexual activity, and four months for assault and affray in Canterbury. Additionally, on February 26, Hill received a 12-week sentence at Bromley Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to harassment, which involved sending sexually explicit messages to his former girlfriend, a 23-year-old woman, through a Facebook account he created under the alias Steven Harris.
