EAST KILBRIDE PERVERT DAVID GUNN SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND BESTIALITY

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of East Kilbride, David Gunn, a 28-year-old resident of Maple Terrace, Greenhills, has been found guilty of possessing and viewing highly illegal and disturbing images involving children and animals. The incident came to light in March 2017 when law enforcement authorities acted on intelligence suggesting that Gunn’s mobile phone contained indecent images of children.

Authorities conducted a search of Gunn’s residence in East Kilbride, where they seized a mobile device that Gunn himself confirmed belonged to him. Forensic analysis of the device revealed the presence of a still image depicting a two-year-old child engaged in a sexual act with an adult male. This image was classified as Category A, indicating it was among the most severe and extreme forms of child abuse imagery.

In addition to the still image, investigators discovered a moving video involving extreme pornography, specifically bestiality between a person and a dog. This footage was also classified as Category A, highlighting its extreme nature. The police report indicated that both images represented the most severe category of illegal content, underscoring the gravity of Gunn’s offenses.

Further examination uncovered thumbnails of other illicit images stored on the mobile device. These thumbnails suggested that Gunn could access additional illegal content on other internet-enabled devices, raising concerns about the extent of his activities. However, it was revealed during the investigation that, prior to a full forensic examination, these thumbnails had been transferred to a Dropbox account and subsequently deleted, complicating efforts to fully recover the evidence.

During police interviews, Gunn claimed that he never intentionally downloaded any indecent images. He also denied actively seeking out images involving bestiality, stating that he viewed the image out of curiosity rather than with malicious intent. Despite his claims, the evidence found on his device was deemed highly serious and disturbing.

Gunn appeared before Hamilton Sheriff Court, where he faced charges related to the possession and distribution of child abuse images and extreme pornography. The court sentenced him to a two-year supervision order and mandated that he register as a sex offender. The case has left many in East Kilbride deeply concerned about the safety of children and the community’s ongoing efforts to combat such heinous crimes.
