DAVID GRAHAM FROM METHILHILL FACES SERIOUS CHARGES IN FIFE AND EDINBURGH

A former Labour councillor from Fife has entered a plea of not guilty to multiple serious allegations involving the grooming and sexual exploitation of a teenage girl. David Graham, whose residence is listed as Grieve Street in Methilhill, appeared before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court to face these charges.

Graham, aged 42, is accused of engaging in a series of criminal acts over a period spanning from August 2022 to 2023. The charges include communicating indecently with the girl, who was between 14 and 15 years old at the time, and coercing her into viewing sexual images. It is also alleged that he engaged in unlawful sexual activity with her and intentionally met her for the purpose of committing such acts.

The court documents detail that Graham allegedly sent the girl explicit images of his genitalia and messages containing sexual comments. Furthermore, he is accused of causing her to send sexual images of herself. The allegations extend to physical contact, with claims that Graham touched her private parts and performed sex acts on her. It is also alleged that he caused her to perform a sex act on him.

The locations where these alleged offences took place are said to include several Fife bowling clubs, a café in Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh Zoo, and in a vehicle in Fife, Edinburgh, and Ayr. These details suggest a pattern of offending across multiple sites within the region and beyond.

For legal reasons, the identity of the girl involved cannot be disclosed. Graham is scheduled to stand trial at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on July 15, where the case will be further examined and prosecuted.
