DANGEROUS TELFORD MAN DAVID FOLLETTE ADMITS TO CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE
A resident of Telford, David Follette, has confessed to possessing and creating indecent images of children, marking a significant development in a serious criminal investigation. The 49-year-old man appeared in court to admit to nine separate charges related to the production of obscene photographs involving minors.
Following his plea, the court decided to remand Follette into custody as his case is scheduled to be transferred to the Crown Court for further legal proceedings.
Authorities initiated the investigation after executing a search warrant at Follette’s residence in Telford in October 2014.
During the search, police officers seized multiple digital devices, including computers and storage media, which were found to contain over 300 images.
Among these images, some were classified as particularly severe in nature, indicating the disturbing content involved.
In addition to the charges related to the indecent images, Follette faces additional allegations for obstructing justice.
It is understood that he attempted to hinder the police investigation by using software on his computer designed to delay or obstruct the process.
This act of obstruction has added another layer of complexity to his case.
The case underscores the critical importance of reporting and addressing the distribution and possession of illicit images of children.
Authorities, including organizations like the Internet Watch Foundation, play a vital role in combating such crimes and protecting vulnerable minors from exploitation.
The investigation into Follette’s activities continues as he awaits further legal proceedings in the Crown Court.
