Paedophile who exposed himself to schoolgirl had hundreds of indecent images

PAEDOPHILE WHO EXPOSED HIMSELF TO SCHOOLGIRL HAD HUNDREDS OF INDECENT IMAGES

A PERVERT exposed himself to a young girl while she was on the way to school in Cheshire.

Darren Ketley approached the victim on St Ann's Walk, Middlewich, on the morning of December 21, 2023.

Cheshire Police said the 59-year-old, of Wheelock Street, was not apprehended until more than a month after he exposed himself to the young girl.

At a search of his home address there were devices with hundreds of indecent images and homemade DVDs with handwritten titles like 'My Penis'.

Almost all of the images were Category C, the third most serious category, but one of the images was Category B, the second most serious category.

Ketley was at Crewe Magistrates Court on Monday, February 17, and Chester Crown Court on Monday, March 17, where he pleaded not guilty to a number of offences.

However he admitted exposure, making indecent images of a child, possessing indecent images of a child and possessing a prohibited image of a child at a later date.

At crown court last week he received a two-year community order with a one-year mental health treatment order and a requirement to do 25 days of rehabilitation activities.

Judge Steven Everett, the Honorary Recorder of Chester, said he is to be subject to a sexual harm prevention order and to the sex offenders register for a period five years.
