Prosecutor Matthew Moore-Taylor outlined that he has four previous convictions, including a five-year prison sentence for rape in 2013 and a subsequent four-and-a-half-year sentence for robbery in 2017, which was accompanied by a five-year extended licence period.
At the time of the latest offence, Wallace was on licence following his robbery conviction and was out of prison.
He was charged with intending to arrange sexual activity with a child, a serious offence that underscores the gravity of his actions.
Wallace appeared in Leeds Crown Court via video link from HMP Leeds, where he was being held on remand.
