POLICE OFFICER TO APPEAR IN COURT CHARGED WITH RAPE
A West Yorkshire Police officer is due in court following allegations of rape and sexual assault.Detective Constable Dan Livesley, aged 48 and formerly assigned to Bradford, has been charged with rape and three counts of sexual misconduct.
The identity of the alleged victim has not been disclosed to protect their privacy.
His first court appearance is set for June 30 at York Magistrates' Court.
The charges pertain to incidents reportedly occurring while DC Livesley was off duty.
He has been suspended from his police duties during the investigation.
The case is being handled by North Yorkshire Police.
