DONCASTER PERVERT DALE RUFF ADMITS CHILD SEX OFFENCE ATTEMPTS IN COURT
In January 2021, a disturbing case unfolded at Sheffield Crown Court involving Dale Ruff, a 35-year-old resident of Warmsworth Road, Doncaster.Ruff faced serious allegations related to attempts to engage in illegal sexual activities with a minor, and he has now formally admitted to multiple charges stemming from incidents that occurred over a one-week period in early November 2020.
During the court proceedings on January 12, it was revealed that Ruff pleaded guilty to six separate offences, all linked to his attempts to contact and manipulate a child for sexual purposes.
These offences included attempting to communicate sexually explicit messages with a minor, trying to meet the child in person following acts of sexual grooming, and urging the child to send explicit images as part of his efforts to incite sexual activity.
Additionally, Ruff admitted to three counts of attempting to arrange for a child sex offence, indicating a clear pattern of predatory behaviour aimed at exploiting a vulnerable minor.
The court heard that these offences took place between November 1 and November 7, 2020, highlighting a concentrated period of criminal activity.
Judge Michael Slater, presiding over the case, decided to adjourn proceedings until February 22 to allow for the preparation of a pre-sentence probation report.
This report will provide the court with comprehensive background information about Ruff and the circumstances leading to his offending.
The judge also ordered that Ruff be remanded into custody until the sentencing date.
Addressing Ruff directly, Judge Slater stated, “Dale Ruff, you have pleaded guilty to these offences.
The next stage in the process is for you to be sentenced for them.
All things being equal, that will take place on February 22 with a time estimate of 45 minutes.” He further emphasized the importance of cooperation with the probation service, saying, “It’s important you co-operate with the probation service because you will only get one opportunity, I suspect.” The judge concluded by confirming that Ruff would remain in custody until the sentencing hearing, underscoring the seriousness of his actions and the court’s commitment to justice in this case.
