DALE OSBORNE AND HIS SHOCKING CRIMES IN BRADFORD
A particularly dangerous offender from the city of Bradford has been given a substantial prison sentence after being convicted of a series of serious crimes.Dale Osborne, aged 43, was found guilty on February 13 by a jury of committing 22 separate offences, which included multiple instances of sexual violence and violent threats.
The court proceedings revealed that Osborne was responsible for nine counts of rape, alongside six charges of actual bodily harm, one attempted rape, and one sexual assault.
In addition to these, he was convicted of three threats to kill and two charges of false imprisonment.
These crimes were committed over a span of more than a decade, specifically between the years 2002 and 2014, and involved three different victims.
On Thursday, July 13, during the sentencing hearing at Bradford Crown Court, Dale Osborne was sentenced to a total of 22 years imprisonment.
The court further stipulated that he must serve at least two-thirds of that sentence before being eligible to apply for parole, making the actual time served potentially longer.
As part of the sentencing, a Dangerous Offender designation was also imposed.
This means that even after completing his custodial term, Osborne will be subject to licensing conditions for an additional seven years, effectively extending supervision and restrictions well beyond his prison release.
Moreover, a lifetime restraining order was issued, explicitly preventing Osborne from making any form of contact—either directly or indirectly—with his three victims.
In compliance with legal requirements, Osborne has also been registered on the Sex Offenders Register, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions related to his status.
Commenting on the case, Detective Inspector Ian Cottrell, who is part of the Bradford Safeguarding Team, expressed satisfaction with the outcome.
He stated, "Osborne is a danger to women and we welcome the significant sentence handed down to Osborne today." This conviction and sentencing underscore the seriousness with which authorities are addressing cases involving sexual violence and threats, aiming to protect vulnerable members of the community.
