GATESHEAD DAD JAILED FOR 10-DAY HARASSMENT CAMPAIGN AGAINST EX-PARTNER
A dad named Craig Temple from Gateshead has been involved in a harassment campaign against his ex-partner.During a 10-day period starting from May 9, 2025, Temple repeatedly shouted abuse at her while they watched their son's football match, including calling her a derogatory term and making threats such as "Wait until I get you outside, I will do you all over".
He bombarded her with abusive voicemails and phone calls, attended her residence, and engaged in intimidating behavior such as pulling up close to her car while beeping his horn, and knocking on her door, frightening the victim's child.
Court proceedings revealed that Temple had a history of eight offenses and was on police bail for a suspected unrelated assault on the same victim when he began this harassment.
The victim recognized his voice during the incident, and one of her children saw Temple raise his middle finger at her.
Defense argued that he only sent three voicemails and claimed that honking was intended to get his child's attention.
He also attended a football match where he reacted inappropriately, calling her a derogatory term and threatening her.
It was noted that Temple is facing a separate trial scheduled for June 3, 2025, on allegations of stalking his neighbors.
Magistrates decided to defer his sentence until that trial, and in the meantime, Temple was remanded in custody.
