January 2010 Leeds man caught with hundreds of animal & child abuse images A Leeds paedophile could soon be sent to prison after he was caught with hundreds of animal abuse images and indecent images of children. In January 2019, Craig Smith, of Pipit Meadow, Morley, Leeds was caught with 240 images of people performing sexual acts on animals and an image of a person sexually interfering with a human corpse. The 33-year-old was also found with more than 2,500 indecent images of children. 187 of those images were Category A (involving sexual activity), 88 were Category B (involving non-penetrative sexual activity) and 2,354 were Category C (images of erotic posing). He pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children and two counts of possession of extreme pornography at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 22. He has been released on unconditional bail until February 12 when he is due to be sentenced. After the sentencing, he will be required to register with the police as a sex offender.
