CONNOR CASHMORE SENTENCED IN WORCESTER FOR HORRIFIC CHILD SEX OFFENCES INVOLVING PAEDOPHILE RING

A man from Worcester has been handed a severe prison sentence after being found guilty of committing heinous child sexual offences, including rape, against a young child under the age of 13. The individual, identified as Connor Cashmore, aged 28 and residing on Bell Lane in Broadheath, appeared before Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday, 29 April, where the court sentenced him to 20 years behind bars.

The case against Cashmore came to light following an investigation that was initiated in September 2024. Authorities became aware of his activities after receiving intelligence linking him to a broader paedophile network. This intelligence prompted a detailed investigation into his actions and online activities.

Cashmore was first arrested on 9 September on charges related to sexual assault of a child under 13, inciting and engaging a minor in sexual activities, and the production and distribution of indecent images of children. During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers seized multiple electronic devices belonging to Cashmore. These devices contained evidence of his ongoing sexual abuse, including videos he had filmed himself. Disturbingly, the evidence also revealed that he was sharing these illicit materials within a paedophile ring, further implicating him in a wider network of offenders.

Further charges led to his re-arrest on 26 September, this time for the rape of a child under 13, additional sexual assault offences, and the continued production and dissemination of indecent images. Following this, Cashmore was remanded into custody, remaining in detention as the legal proceedings continued.

On 28 October, Cashmore appeared again at Worcester Crown Court, where he entered a guilty plea to all 16 charges listed in the indictment. His guilty plea marked a significant step in the case, bringing some measure of closure to the investigation.

In the sentencing hearing on 29 April, the court handed down a 20-year prison term, reflecting the gravity of his crimes. Additionally, Cashmore was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which imposes strict restrictions to prevent future offending. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and public safety measures.
