CONNOR ALLEN FROM COLCHESTER AND HALESTEAD SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL OFFENCES INVOLVING CHILDREN AND ANIMALS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities of Colchester and Halstead, Connor Allen, a 21-year-old man, was convicted of a series of heinous sexual offences involving minors and animals. The crimes came to light after a young boy from Colorado, USA, reported disturbing conversations he had over Skype with Allen, who had posed as a teenage girl to lure underage boys into performing depraved acts.Allen-Howe, previously residing at Nash Court in Halstead and later at Shakespeare Road in Colchester, engaged in a prolonged online campaign over three years, during which he contacted boys aged between 12 and 17. He used multiple Skype accounts—five in total—that were eventually traced back to his residence in Halstead. The police investigation uncovered a trove of illicit material stored on his laptop and mobile phone, including videos and photographs of his victims, many of whom were naked or engaged in sexual acts with others or animals.
The court heard harrowing details of Allen-Howe’s manipulative and abusive behavior. Among the most disturbing allegations was his encouragement of a 13-year-old boy to drink his own urine and to insert his finger into his dog’s vagina. The young boy complied with Allen-Howe’s instructions, and four videos of the abuse, including two showing the dog being harmed, were recovered by authorities. These acts exemplify the extreme depravity of Allen-Howe’s conduct.
Further allegations included urging another 13-year-old boy to sexually assault his own dog and instructing a different victim to penetrate himself with a toothbrush. In one particularly disturbing incident, Allen-Howe encouraged a boy to try to remove his sleeping sister’s pajamas, adding to the list of heinous offenses.
During the court proceedings at Chelmsford Crown Court, Allen-Howe admitted to 31 separate sex offences, which encompassed causing or inciting children to engage in sexual activities, creating and distributing child sexual abuse images, and making indecent images of children. The prosecution, led by Stephen Rose, painted a picture of a calculated and manipulative predator who exploited the innocence of his victims for his own gratification.
Judge Emma Peters sentenced Allen-Howe to eight years in prison, emphasizing the severity of his crimes and the need for justice. The judge also ordered a psychiatric and pre-sentence report, with the sentencing scheduled for March 23. She warned Allen-Howe that the likelihood was high that he would face an immediate custodial sentence upon her final decision.
Throughout the proceedings, Allen-Howe appeared in court dressed in a checked black suit and tie, representing himself as a former youth council spokesman. His actions have left a lasting scar on the victims and their families, and the community awaits the full extent of justice to be served.
