CHRISTOPHER HASKETT JAILED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE IN LEICESTER

In a case that has shocked the local community, Christopher Haskett, aged 52, was sentenced to two years in prison after admitting to sexually abusing a young boy. The incident took place in Leicester, where Haskett resided on Asplin Road, Saffron Lane.

The court proceedings at Leicester Crown Court revealed that Haskett committed multiple acts of indecency against the child, who was only seven or eight years old at the time. The abuse was said to have occurred on several occasions, leaving a lasting impact on the young victim.

During the hearing, James House, representing the defense, highlighted Haskett’s limited mental abilities, describing him as a man of “limited abilities.” House also disclosed that Haskett had been a victim of mistreatment during his own childhood, which may have contributed to his behavior.

It was further revealed that Haskett had confessed to his mother about his misconduct approximately eight years prior. His mother reportedly warned him to cease his inappropriate actions, threatening to report him to the authorities if he continued.

The victim, who has since grown into a teenager, eventually found the strength to come forward and file a formal complaint against Haskett.
